How long will my LeakAlertor™ last?

Answer:

The LeakAlertor’s™ internal battery (which cannot be replaced by the user) lasts an average of 12-15 months. However, the units operational life may be shortened due to uncorrected leaking flappers (the more the lamps flashes and the unit beeps, the more the battery is drained.)

What is a flapper?

The flapper is the round, rubber device positioned in the center on the bottom of your toilet tank.
