nth Solutions expands and moves to larger manufacturing facility in Exton Company adds seven workers to build and promote water-saving LeakAlertor™
EXTON _ nth Solutions LLC has moved from its West Chester location to Exton to expand its manufacturing facility for the water-saving LeakAlertor™.
“Sales of the LeakAlertor™ are increasing and we’ve outgrown our West Chester facility,” said Eric Canfield, President of nth Solutions LLC. “We have just moved to our new location in the Marsh Creek Corporate Park.”
The West Chester building contained 4,000 square feet and the new Exton location has 6,000 square feet. The company has also added seven workers during 2009.
The LeakAlertor™ is the first fully automatic, electronic leak detection device for toilets that installs in seconds. “Considering one leaking toilet often wastes more than 100 gallons of water per day or enough water to fill an Olympic sized swimming pool in one year—unnecessarily wasted water is a big environmental concern,” said Canfield.
nth Solutions has recently teamed with the non-profit Homeowners Association of Philadelphia and Aqua PA to offer The LeakAlertor™. More than 1,000 units have been sold to HAPCO and Aqua PA customers in recent months.
The special Aqua PA project showed that seniors were especially interested in the LeakAlertor™ because the device saves them money and some can’t always see or hear the leaks. LeakAlertor™ prevents high water bills since it conserves water.
Property managers are also purchasing LeakAlertor™ to install in their rental properties, according to Canfield.
“A leaking toilet is the most common source of water loss in the home,” Canfield said. “Undetected leaks cause high water bills, dry wells and saturated septic systems. By using LeakAlertor™ residents can save money, avoid costly water bills along with expensive plumbing problems. According to the AWWA, one in five toilets in the United States is believed to be leaking. The total loss of water in the United States alone is estimated as high as five billion gallons per day, or nearly two trillion gallons per year.”
LeakAlertor™ is easily installed in seconds without using tools. The device works on any flapper-based toilet and detects leaks that can’t be seen or heard. Design work, manufacturing, assembly, testing and distribution of LeakAlertor™ are done in Exton by nth Solutions LLC.
