Business Background
nth Solutions, LLC, is a Pennsylvania Limited Liability Company that formally began conducting business in April 2006. Founded by partners Eric Canfield, Heidi Canfield, and Susan Springsteen, nth Solutions was envisioned as an electronic product development and manufacturing company which produces quality products that save lives and preserve natural resources.
The Company’s mission of “Solving Ordinary Problems with Extraordinary Products” has resulted in the formation and acquisition of several products, including Priority Green, LeakAlertor, and StormAlertor. The Company has also developed patented technologies and products related to precision liquid handling for research laboratories and process control equipment for the large-scale production of single-walled carbon nanotubes. nth Solutions’ on-site electronic and mechanical manufacturing underscores the “Made in the USA” that appears on all of its products – something that has been sadly and rapidly disappearing from our nation’s landscape.
Engineering Background
The nth Solutions engineering team collectively hold more than 50 United States and International patents, most of which have generated revenue for the Company, their customers, and their previous employers. In addition to the product lines identified above, the engineering team’s diverse marketing, engineering backgrounds, and disciplines, have produced designs and patents in high volume load shed controllers for the electric power utilities; oscillating, pedestal, and box fan designs and electronic controls. Some examples include (US Patent 5,847,526, US Patent D341,196, US Patent D346,019); tympanic thermometry (US Patent 6,001,066, US Patent 5,967,992, US Patent 5,833,367); precision non-contact liquid flow measurement technologies and products (US Patent 7,396,512 for the Elite Pipettor); and an entire line of professional circuit tracing test equipment. The Company’s engineers have also designed equipment that has flown on the space shuttles and have previously worked with the FAA and USGS to develop and deploy catastrophic eruption detection apparatus for active volcanoes, the latter of which is used to alert and divert aircraft away from ash clouds that can disable jet engines during flight.
Looking Forward
The LeakAlertor™ represents the first product in nth Solutions line of water conservation and damage prevention products, and is the result of nearly ten years of research and development. The Company has patents pending on this and other technologies, and expects to introduce its next revolutionary innovation, the Bolgard™, in the 1st quarter 2011.
